looks like .....eh?

this is not a terribly interesting photo. i will try to not post boring stuff in the future. but just for veracity or something here is a shot of knickerbocker - the main commercial street. looks pretty - - ? for the hype on how dangerous/terrible my nabe is you know. here is what it looks like. just .... blah.

Comments:
Are there still a couple of Italian groceries & ice-cream joints on Knickerbocker? They were cute. It's fine during the day, but gets dicey at night, if memory serves.

but don't get me wrong. i can buy any kind of sneaker or party supply item or dollar store thing in a hop/skip/jump. mostly there are dollar stores. there is a good plant store and a decent supermarket and a rite aid. some day i will go clothes shopping. that could be super fun.

there is an italian pastry place (i've never been in - shame on me!) and some other hot dog italian guys sitting around place i don't like to walk by. there is a cappucino place futhter away from me on wyckoff i think that looks good. ice cream.. i don't know. my favorite grocer is a hispanic place across from the park.

yeah, it is dicey seeming at night when all the gates get rolled down. kids like to hang out. but still - - i don't know if anything actually happens. well, actually, stuff does happen. but i just walk on by.

when my mom was here we walked all over one night and she was totally cracking me up going into these weird stores. she is fearless/unknowing but i thought no one would dare mess with a mom and daughter. (it was like 8:30pm)

FB, looks a lot like Journal Square. Who knew there were so many dollar stores in the world?

yeah, it does look like journal square, i agree. (from the little i know of it) also it reminds me of milwaukee avenue when i lived there in chicago in the early nineties.
